Blackbird for long distance stuff, Fazer for short hop/commuting, Ducati 750SS to remind me that power isn't everything when you want to have fun on a bike.

Fair enough, but the Victory goes like stink.

The FZR still needs work though. Ive got a mint standard exhaust to go on it, the calipers/master cylinder are being replaced with blue spots kit. But I'm going to paint the originals back to gold and keep them so it can be put back to standard. The discs look bad but they are cast iron EBC jobbies, so you can watch them rust. Ive got another bike exactly the same as this in a lot worse condition that is being restored, both are matching numbers with the one in the picture being one of the first 400 UK bikes.

Bought this in 1991 when I passed my test, and no I won't sell it!

This is my latest purchase.

I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

Bought the Daytona a year or so back and the Beemer this summer. The Fazer’s not on the road at the moment unfortunately  :(

Love the look of the Daytona 955, sharp looking sporty bike, not so keep on the horizontally opposed cabbage patch though, much to costly if you throw it up the road.   :eek  Person opinion of course.
it's the Daytona that would float my boat .  :lol  great looking machine

I wasn’t too keen on the Beemer myself as I’ve always had sports bikes, but after a bad accident a couple of years ago I knew I’d struggle with them a bit.  :'(

I took a demo R9T out for a ride at an open day and was very impressed. It’s so easy to ride, and so relaxed, and I was offered a great deal on one that was in the showroom so just went for it.

I’ve still got the Daytona though for when I want to ache after a ride  :lol

VNA failed to buy another bike for the garage last year.  Other things got in the way as they do.

One of the lads at work is singing the praises of his new Street Triple RS and is trying to convince me it’s the bike for me.  He chopped in a V4 Tuono for it.   It sure looks good, but I’m not convinced it’ll be comfy enough or practicable enough for me.
The MT10 is still on my mind, but maybe too big, ugly and is maybe too thirsty for it’s small tank.  Too bonkers daft also?  Might be worth a test ride.
I love the look of those nine T’s, the ‘pure’ version looks great too.  Another for the test ride list.  What’s it like Freck?  Can you ride it all day?  Anything you don’t like?  Can those spoked wheels be sealed and de-tubed (I hate the idea of inner tubes)

The comfort isn’t bad but it could benefit from the ‘comfort’ seat that’s available, for all day riding. The ride is pretty good but then I’ve been used to stiff sports bike suspension so it’s bound to feel plush. Handles alright though.  :D
As for the spoked/tubed wheels, there’s a lot of people who moan about them but it doesn’t bother me. I’ve been riding for 30 years and only ever had one puncture so can’t see I’d be fixing it by the roadside. I’ve got breakdown cover anyway  :lol  It is possible to de-tube them but is quite a bit of work. The Pure comes with cast wheels though.

There’s not really anything I don’t like about it, maybe just the long throttle action but I’ve got a quick action device to fit when I get chance. The nice thing about them is that there’s loads of customisation options out there to make it unique easily, although they attract lots of attention in standard trim.

Comfort seat, Hmmm.  Can’t believe loads of manufacturers sell a comfort seat as an official option.  Shouldn't the bike come with a bleedin seat that’s fit for purpose in the first place?
Can’t help thinking if you get a nail or screw in a tubed tyre it’s gonna go down quick rather than sealing around the nail/screw and deflating slowly.  I’ve had one blow out and it wasn’t much fun.  Dunno what caused that one there was just a hole in the tyre!
I’ve averaged a puncture every 9000 miles with the thou in 36,000 miles.  And here’s another weird one for you;

The blow out came two days after getting a previous puncture reapired.  Blew out at 90mph on a dual carridgeway, managed to limp off but the tyre was a complete write off.

I've had a rear go at about 50mpg on a dual carriageway.

Rear blowout is certainly better than the front at speed, been there, done that.

Yeah it is really a blue Busa and he was so embarrassed about the colour he had the pic shopped, and quite right to.
But if he wanted real cred he should have gone silve :lol

Just a tweak to white balance, a little dodging and burning and curves adjusted for a little more contrast. B-King shot is HDR.
