« on: 05 November 2017, 07:09:27 pm »
they all say water proof but so far I have yet to find one that truly is.
shower proof yes but.
my current one(leather/carbon) clearly isn't ,when I bought it stated 100% waterproof..bollocks.
so what gloves have you kind chaps have found to be water proof.
currently looking at water proof over mitts etc but rathey buy a proper glove that is.

The free 'diesel' gloves available free from most petrol stations, when worn as an inner glove .... The only solution I've ever found for 'waterproof'.

And if you put your sleeves over the gloves then water blows up your sleeve at high speed and if you put your gloves over your sleeve water runs down into your gloves at low speed. You can't win.

I have given up on waterproof gloves. I've been told that some exist but they cost more than my bike.
If I want dry hands I wear latex/nitrile gloves under my bike gloves. You can keep plenty of spares in your pocket or under your seat. A lot of the free gloves at petrol stations are now little more than a square plastic bag.

My trusty Held gloves gave up the ghost last year so I got some Richa ones for £90. Gore tex etc. Used them for over a year now and they are still 100% waterproof. They are not too bulky either, I wear them all year round...
