Moto Guzzi
« on: 07 October 2017, 05:34:16 pm »

I have been offered a 1960 ish Moto Guzzi Lodola Gran Turismo motor bike. Its 235cc with a 4 speed box. That's all I know. Its in pretty good condition and I was wondering if anybody on here would have any specifications on the bike. I don't even know if its 2 stroke or 4 stroke!!!

It was refurbished a few years ago and has been sat on display in an Italian restaurant since then.

Difficult to find specs for a bike that old as they probably weren't recorded then.
Depends how much they want for it though. I wouldn't want it personally.
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

The guy who owns it wants to give it to me. It looks like it will run but I wouldn't start it without the specs. It is nearly 60 years old. Pretty special if it does run.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Say Yes, take it away, see if you can get it running. If you cant, and its beyond repair, advertise it on Ebay world wide as breaking. There's bound to be people out there somewhere who need the bits off it.

Better still, give it to me, I've always fancied a Falcone, but that will do!

Cant find a manual on that website but thanks. It'll probably be in some foreign language anyway!! lol

Link works OK if you add an f on the end.  :)
But yes, you'll need to learn Italian.
