For Sale 2003 Fazer 600, Blue
« on: 06 October 2017, 10:39:25 am »
Hi I'm selling my Mint Fazer 600 due to just taking delivery of my new bike.
She's in fantastic condition as been extremely pampered and loved.
If any ones interested give me a reply and I will send full spec and pic's.
If any one is looking for one of these later carb bikes then this will not disappoint and surly has to be one of the best out there!
Not a commuter special or a tired example.

Cheers,

Chris

Nice looking example. Can you give details of mileage, approximate location and expected price please.
I notice the bolts and spacers for a rear rack are there but no rack, which is a bit odd.

the crap flaps on the cylinder head are positioned to direct spray straight into the plug holes too.
Nice looking bike though but you do need to put your location and price up.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Hi, it's located near Yeovil, and looking for £2000.
It's just turned 36000 miles, and the luggage rack is included. It was just taken of for a clean when I took pics. Also lots of nice tasteful extras including full scorpion system, heated grips and lots more. It's a really nice example.

Cheers

Good spot on the craps flaps....although it doesn't go out other than when it's dry. I'll move them back into position....Cheers

They are correctly positioned. Well, almost, the edges should be in front of Plugs 1 and 4.

The bottom edge should be on the front rocker cover to stop water draining into the plug holes

That's where I've got mine,  It done seem a bit illogical to fit a pair of rubber flaps specifically to channel water straight onto the spark plugs.

And the adjustable flaps are included in the sale. Rode her to Westbay and back this afternoon. She's running really sweet.

It’s intended to keep the high tension wiring and plug caps dry. Rainwater hitting the rubber flows down to the base of the wells where it drains through the holes at the side of the cylinder head.
Fold the flap up on top and the water can’t flow forwards because that’s where the airflow is coming from. So it flows up the curve and blows round the sides spraying the plug caps and wiring.

No offence fellow forum goers but I'm not finding this the most stimulating of conversations. Only kidding, how could talking about flaps and damp ingress possably be boring?   :lol
