I went the other way on my 800. I ditched the R&G and put the original back on as I think it looks better.

I'll keep an eye on this. I was contemplating putting a proper one back on for the winter as mine doesn't nothing to stop rain spraying up my back. But haven't decided if its too much hassle to swap yet haha

Yep, I fitted an Evotech tail tidy, but after a trip around Europe and back drenched several times it came straight back off. I ended up buying a spare standard bracket and shortening it. I have got any good photos of it fitted but you can see most of it below and get the idea. Shorter, looks better and could have been factory fitted. It basically entails cutting the steel side plates in half and overlapping them with roof bolts. The plastic outer is then trimmed to match. That together with the hugger extender meant dry back :)
