Just sold my Fazer 1000 and already miss not having a bike. Took an hour..
Found a 2008 ABS FZ6 and went for a look. All okay I thought apart from the header clamps and nuts were falling apart! I know that part of the engine gets all the road crap, but this was well on the way to falling apart. Any attempt to undue any of the nuts would have resulted in a snapped stud. Poor bloke was not aware of how bad they were. Traveled 80 miles to see it so thought I would have a ride on it since the owner offered. Gutless! I was expecting a nice crisp acceleration but it was slower than my old KLE500. Now when I did a check on the bike it came back as having 79bhp. I thought these were 98?? Was a little puzzled.

UK bike would be 98hp   but there is a 78hp  version  in some EU countries
me header bolts and clamps are going that way but the bike is a2004 with 102k miles on it !

I used to run a gen 1 thou, sold it because it was too fast and it vibrated like a bitch, bought a 2008 FZ6 S2, yes not as fast but thats just what I need.......must admit my header bolts are turning to shit with rust too, I plan to sort it out in the winter when it's off the road, worst case scenario is the header bolts snap off and its an engine strip to get the head off and off to an engineer to drill out......fuckin yams !!!
