Alarm wiring question
« on: 18 August 2017, 10:42:40 am »
in the process of doing my bike up I have changed the wiring harness, on the "new" harness there is 2 plugs with one of them having a joining wire, I presume this is for the alarm, so anyone know which wire does what and can you buy the plugs? My old harness didn't have these plugs.

Hi ya.

Is it the 2 white 2 pin plugs just rear of the battery box you refer to?

Does the bike run?
If not both 2 pin plugs need a jumper wire in each plug, i believe 1 plug is fuel cut off & 1 plug is ignition cut off.
Bike should then run ok.

I had to jump both mine when when i Unpicked a Meta alarm that went tits up.

Hope this helps matey..

One of the plugs does have a jumper in it but I think the other is missing, I do have an alarm to fit and would rather use those plugs rather than splicing into the harness, but I need to find out which wire does what.
