Welcome to the forum Rikat (Rob) As you can probably see, you'll need a thick(ish) skin and a sense of humour to survive on here but if you can put up with us you'll get some good advice and a bit of stick in equal measure Nice bike by the way. Are you planning to ride it much or keep it low mileage and mint?
The chances are that the fork oil won't have been changed so that could perhaps do with checking.
Quote from: unfazed on 06 August 2017, 10:08:36 pmWell wear Rob and best of luck with it. Maybe now it will get the usage it deserves Keep an eye on the rubbers on it carefully as they are likely to perish and crack from age related lack of use. Check the intake rubbers and Vacuum take of point plugs after a few weeks of use for cracks. The vacuum take off plugs are even more prone to cracking than the intake rubbers.Check the tyre dates on the side wall of the tyre also, they will be the week number and the year since 2000, something like 4916 the 49th week of 2016 or 3609 the 36th week of 2009. Tyres more than 10 years old should be replaced (over 7, I would replace them) they go hard with age and grip level is greatly reduced. The vacuum take offs look fine, as do the inlet rubbers. One of the vacuum take offs has been replaced for the Scotoiler vacuum feed. The tyres are fine. The paperwork backs up tyres changes. Currently Avon Storms.I see Russ has been given a bit of stick but he's a genuine guy and truly passionate about bikes.

Thanks for all the extra bits and the bike is utterly and mind-boggolingly AMAZING for a 14 year old bike. 'Factory fresh' doesn't do it justice. You're a gent and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this '03 model just as much as my '99 version, 18 years ago.
I'm planning to ride it and re-live my youth (32 year old with Fazer) AND look after it. Hopefully it's long-term, after many years of big trailies.

Hi Rob, and welcome You'll get loads of good advice here. Looks a really tidy bike. Only bit I can add is the headers. They look original and in great nick, but the mild steel collector box can rust from the inside. So might be worth a check for any pinholes. Oh and I nearly forgot, the clock needs resetting
