I hope Foxeye recommends FOC as a source of useful information, to it's new owner. :lol

The comment about the clock was made in jest, hence the smiley. 9 posts in 3 years, and you just use the forum to try to sell your bike! Don't need any lessons from you thank you.

BTW I've got a red one just as nice as yours, and it's done 45k. Try and get out more  :lol

Nice try Mtread but yours can't possibly be as nice as Foxeye's because as you said, it's red. His is blue, like mine. :rollin

I'm gonna spit my dummy out, throw my toys out of the pram, have a hissy fit and quit the forum, you're all horrible and nasty and I can't take it any more  :'( As it happens the bike is up for sale £4500 to avoid chancers who might actually want to ride it :lol He perhaps will get out more now he's not wasting hours posting on here all the time. :rollin

Whoever would've thought that a for sale thread that no one is actually interested in buying could generate such a response?

To all the harbingers of doom, deposit taken this morning at a price I'm happy with.

Forums, eh? full of people who really should get out more instead of living a virtual life - I think 'should get out more' was the strapline to one of the 'contributors' to this thread because really, in the process of selling my bike, what have any of you foccers meaningfully contributed? definitely not intelligent conversation, that's for sure.

Whilst having had a Fazer for over 10 years and know them inside out, is it any wonder, judging by the 'eloquence' displayed on this forum that some people choose not to partake?
Some of you like to make supposedly funny, sarcastic comments but don't like it when it's dished back at you - the one about setting the clock, big fucking deal, that pure comedy gold was so hilariously funny............if you're a pre-pubescent schoolboy (that's about the level of most of the contributions).

Mods, please delete this thread and my account.

Foxeye03 only opened the account just to sell his bike.
He would never waste his time  in Forums, eh? full of people who really should get out more instead of living a virtual life - I think 'should get out more'  Oh fuck he was in here.
Notice he did say how much he got for it, but in all seriousness it was a nice looking machine

Love these threads  :woot

This is a mortorcyclists forum for those who prefer Fazers and enjoy life where a degree in sarcasm a necessity, but a degree in english is not.  :rolleyes

Great to see someone correct grammar with the incorrect use of it to do so. :lol

Sarcasm, because beating the shit out of someone is illegal. :eek

Hi Russ.
Thanks for all the extra bits and the bike is utterly and mind-boggolingly AMAZING for a 14 year old bike. 'Factory fresh' doesn't do it justice. You're a gent and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this '03 model just as much as my '99 version, 18 years ago.

 :thumbup

I'm also looking forward to going through the FOCer's archives for hints and tips.

cheers
rob

Well wear Rob and best of luck with it. Maybe now it will get the usage it deserves  :D

Keep an eye on the rubbers on it carefully as they are likely to perish and crack from age related lack of use.
Check the intake rubbers and Vacuum take of point plugs after a few weeks of use for cracks. The vacuum take off plugs are even more prone to cracking than the intake rubbers.
Check the tyre dates on the side wall of the tyre also, they will be the week number and the year since 2000, something like 4916 the 49th week of 2016 or 3609 the 36th week of 2009.
Tyres more than 10 years old should be replaced (over 7, I would replace them) they go hard with age and grip level is greatly reduced.

Welcome to the forum Rikat (Rob) As you can probably see, you'll need a thick(ish) skin and a sense of humour to survive on here but if you can put up with us you'll get some good advice and a bit of stick in equal measure :thumbup Nice bike by the way. Are you planning to ride it much or keep it low mileage and mint?

The chances are that the fork oil won't have been changed so that could perhaps do with checking.

The vacuum take offs look fine, as do the inlet rubbers. One of the vacuum take offs has been replaced for the Scotoiler vacuum feed. The tyres are fine. The paperwork backs up tyres changes. Currently Avon Storms.

I see Russ has been given a bit of stick but he's a genuine guy and truly passionate about bikes.
