are renthal 758s ok to use on the 600, I have a spare set well, going spare really.

Yeah, work fine. Bit wider, and you'll need different bar ends. Got pair on mine at mo, you need to get them at right angle so they don't clash with fairing/mirrors or tank, but no big deal. The width took a bit to get used to and can be a bit of stretch for full lock.

And you'll either need to drill location holes for the tabs on the switch gear, or tape up the area to stop them rotating. Apparently Renthal advise against drilling, but I did.

More than ok, I put a set on my Fazer 600 and haven't regretted it since, feels so much more comfortable now  :)

Yeah, I filed off the location tabs then used 3 or 4 layers of silver foil between the switch gear and the bars, nothing's moved in 4 years.  I didn't fancy drilling holes in mine.
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines...

I don't know where all this talk of holes is coming from? :rollin I didn't have to drill a single hole in mine when I put them on

So much better than the standard bars. I filed down the tabs a bit and they've been fine =)
