Chuff me, had a look at the manual, reads like a major task. Remove tank/airbox/radiator etc. Anyone know of any short cuts?

Supposedly, if you have reasonably small hands, you can actually get in from the sides and, with a bit of fiddling, do it without removing lots of bits. There's a description of the technique here: http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/fz6-fz6r/361128-how-replace-your-sparkplugs-20-minutes.html

I think (although I've not tried it yet, that you could just unbolt the radiator and support it to give better access without having to take the whole thing off, but do that at your own risk!

You can change the plugs by getting in from the sides but if you release the radiator mountings it will give a bit more space. Did it a few times when I had an S2

This guy did it by just dropping the radiator, but looks like a pig of a job..

I need to do mine, so let me know how you get on.

Did it this morning, dropped the radiator but left all the pipes connected to it, just let it hang there. Bit of a faff, but doable by the average rider methinks. Plugs looked in good  order, just cleaned and gaps checked/adjusted

I did mine last week also.

Have seen a video of a guy who managed to get them out from the sides without having to remove anything.

I removed radiator and it was still a faff on to get the leads in and out!

@agricola - how did you go about blowing the crap out of the plug holes first?

Simple. I didnt. The rubber sealing caps were a real tight fit into their sockets, so i didnt feel the need to blow any crap out since there wouldnt have been any crap there.
