Hello all FZS 600 my 1st bike
« on: 25 April 2017, 10:05:12 pm »
I have just joined your forum so hello all.
Been riding just over 2 years (Honda cbf125) and last month passed my test.
I am now a proud owner of a 2002 FZS600 Fazer and absolutely love her.
Signing up to your site seemed the right thing to do as I am boring my friends and family to death with bike talk so I look forward to chatting with like minded folk.
So yeah hello againâ˜ș

Hi red98 thanks for the welcome.
She is very clean and does the previous owners very proud. Mileage is a little over 39k so less than 3000 per year since birth. It's had pretty much everything added too, Sport exhaust, double bubble screen, crash bungs, radiator guard, upgraded seat, heated grips, braided brake hoses. Oh and one of those Scott Oiler thingies but I am unsure if that works. All in all I can't complain for my first lady I think I aint done too bad. :)

Welcome mrMoog. Great looking bike and a good choice. Just take your time getting used to it as it is a big step up from a 125! Lots of info on this site and lots of knowledgable people always willing to help out if needed.
Enjoy  :)

Yep will do, it is a helluva step up from my 125 and respect is the first thing on my mind every time I get on the bike. I understand that things can go very wrong very quickly if I do not take my time learning. The last thing my teacher instructor told me was 'I taught you how to pass your test, now your learning truly begins'
Wise words!

Looks nice mr moog, few tasteful mods on it without being ott.

600 fazer was my first bike.....now im going to one.

Get in the 600 section and if you check nothing else make sure to check your front sprocket nut.....if you type into the search function youll see what i mean.😎
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

noggythenog much appreciated thanks for the heads up on that, its gone to the top of the weekend checklist. I am not very mechanically minded (I do like to have a go at smaller jobs) but a quick youtube search shows that even a novice like myself could check and replace if it hasn't already been done.
Again thanks.

39k....thought it would be a lot less than that , a credit to its former owners......good bikes these 600 fazers..do it all , get you to work in the week and enough power to have some fun at the weekend.......take it easy buddy   ;)

So I checked the front sprocket nut and one of the previous owners looks to have already done it which is good news. It was a bit mucky in there so gave it a good clean and degrease whilst the cover was off so it was worth having a look in the end. :)

Looks like it's in great condition!

Welcome along.

Chris

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.
