Hi folks,
Just signed up after buying a yr2000 600 silver with 44k to get back into biking.
It had been parked up for over 2yrs but passed test after rear caliper was had new seals. Tyres are advisory but was going to change them anyways.

You seem like a friendly bunch so looking forward to looking and posting in next few weeks as I try to get it looking less Rat bike.

Will get some soon its in mates lock up at moment going to strip carbs and balance at weekend will get some them and post.

Do all fzs have real sharp front brakes? its got braided lines.

if they are braided lines then they will be a lot sharper, as I swapped my OEM lines to HEL braided lines and bloody hell the difference was amazing all and any spongy feeling vanished. I highly recommend anyone to swap to braided lines.

yeah reminded me of a Citroen Zantia I had with pumped (100bar)hydraulic brakes/suspension, pedal was more like a switch haha

Will just need to buy thinner gloves

the best brakes I ever experienced were on my last bike, a 1991 FZR600 Genisis, they were OEM lines but once I changed the fluid and cleared the sludge buildup in the pipes FOC me you could pull the leaver and do a full lockup with 1 finger.

my son has a Tiger 1050 and an old xl100 Varadero, so will let him try it and see how it compares, just have to see how it feels with new rubber and wet roads. Feels great in dry just not sure if its lack of progression will work with arthritic fingers on wet tarmac!!

Welcome and when you get used to it you can always change it for a faster red

Thanks for making me welcome guys,
I am being harassed by the missus, keep buying stuff for the bike, new battery, oil, filters, chain lock, plugs Jacket/bottoms.
Ain't it a pain when your old gear shrinks in the cupboard hehe 

 I guess I should check valve clearance when weather warms up here in the south east.

LOFO stands for London Fazer Owners but actually means anyone roughly near London who fancies a ride out, by roughly I mean VERY rough.. Noggy the Nog is a LOFO and he's in WALES!!!
