scottoiler pipe placement

Hi all, the pipe from the scottoiler to the sprocket is constantly moving and as such probably oiling the road instead of my chain/sprocket, I keep putting it back in place but it keeps moving. The pipe itself is touching the chain where it meets the bottom of the sprocket, could this be the issue? Not sure of the correct placement of the pipe. Any info help or suggestions would be great.

You have got a nib on the end of the oil delivery tube haven't you?

The feed pipe shouldn't be touching the chain, it should be dripping onto the sprocket just above the chain it then seeps onto the chain.
My biggest problem with the 600 was the flimsy alloy bracket that came with the kit and holds the feed pipe in place, every time I tightened the axle nut after adjusting the chain it would bend out of shape.
I got a mechanic to drill a hole in the front sprocket cover and fed the tube through that, it nowdrips onto the top of the chain at the front sprocket.
Apparently it's an old dispatch riders mod for the oiler.

Hi captainCazador, nope there is no nib on the end its just a thin black pipe, I'm guessing its too long in my case as it sits rite at bottom and is touching the chain. I will stick a pic up here when I get into garage. In the meantime I will look at the fitting guide in the link provided.

OK so looking at the fitting guide I can see I don't have the bracket that is attached to rear spindle, instead tube runs along swingarm and straight off that to sprocket so not surprised its being moved all the time.

Ah I see from that last pic that your axle nut is on the other side, might order another bracket and turn my axle around, would solve my problem

They're the pictures from the scottoiler website instructions , I think it says somewhere about turning the axle around to fit correctly.
Having had a problem with mine fitted wrong by previous owner and without correct bits and seen a few posts from others saying similar, imho scottoiler are not helping by their system of having to order correct parts for certain models, even if they are free

Well I've ordered the axle bracket which is winging its way to me. Bet once I fit it the pissing thing doesn't even deliver any oil haha, the canister looks full under seat, bet I need to prime and do lots of sucking and blowing to get the thing working.

To be honest the bracket works, it's just my mistake for not turning the axle nut.
You will still need to bend the bracket slightly though.

Blew down a random pipe and some oil popped out so I'm guessing it will work once engine is running and pipe is in correct place

Well that piece of shit bracket came for scottoiler, and here it is on the floor. Its useless, done a diy job myself with a tie strap.
