They look good, how much were they? If you don't mind me asking?

I looked into the R&G ones that cover the whole stator and clutch casing but they pretty much worked out more expensive than originals 🤔🤔

Certainly not a bad price. You'll have to stick up some pics when you've fitted them so we can see what they look like 🖒

I'm with you Bill, a spill isn't always our fault, sometimes fate decidesit for us, anything that helps protect your pride and joy, especially if it's cheap, makes proper sense. I bought a mint zzr1100 with 6k on the clock that has never been dropped a few months ago as I want a useable modern classic. First thing I did once I'd got it running and cleaned up, serviced, new rubber, carbs overhauled, tank cleaned out etc was buy some cheap damaged bodywork that I sprayed in 2k black along with second hand exhaust cans so I can use it and put the nice bodywork on come summer. Full fairings make great engine protectors ;-)

Flatted down then lots of coats of 2k gloss black, piled on deep and heavy, want it so no lacquer and if I get a scratch it will just polish out

Necessity is the mother of invention as they say mate, I didn't have a clue how to fix the missing lug til I was using the soldering iron to meld the cracked panels and thought" ah...I know what I'll do..";-) once I'd got a washer heated up and pressed into each side I filled it all with melted plastic from a bit of old abs fairing then shaped it with the dremel :-)
