fzr brake hose on a fzs 600
« on: 17 October 2016, 07:16:23 am »
my brakehose snappet on the fzs 600, did fall on my aprilia while i tried to pull it on the centerstand, it fell on my Aprilia and maybe stretched the brakehose(?) cause the next day when my GF rode of to work she suddenly lost her frontbrakes while driving the next day after the centerstand accident.

a local guy here has some steel braided hoses from a fzr 1000, could theese fit the fzs 600? or else i have to wait 1-2 weeks from Ebay..

As long as it has the correct banjo fittings and is long enough, yes. A brake hose is a brake hose.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Get them from HEL - they run a discount for forum members and will post quick. I have them on mine.
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

hell yea, startet to check the bike to se actually where it leaked out brake fluid, after filling up brake fluid and start to press the brake handle i did see that it came out of the banjo link, just tighted it up and there was no leak anymore!  :rollin

But found out that the bleed nipples on the right calipper doesnt function so i had to bleed them through the treads of the nipple! found the brakes to be better than ever! i think that the right calipper hasnt function since ive had the bike(?!) and now there is a squeek sound from that brakes that comes when i brake hard (just for a little  half-second when the bikes stops)

If the hoses got such a yank that it twisted and loosened the banjo then I would be concerned about what damage has been done elsewhere or to the hose itself. Get some HELs on there.
