Nik - Italy
« on: 20 August 2016, 10:27:22 am »
Hi All,

Just a short introduction  :)
My name is Nik and live in Italy.
Next week I will become an owner of a FZS 1000 year 2003 with 17,000km.
Is all standard with just a MIVV end can.
For sure will be making some mods and hope with the help of you experienced owners will make the right ones  :lol
Can't wait and look forward to being back on 2 wheels.

Just a quick addition...... Does anyone remembre Motorcycle City???? I used to work in the Bedfont Branch not far from Heathrow Airport  :rolleyes

Thanks

Nik

It looks in great condition, Nik. Love the colour. Glad that you enjoyed the 350kms on your new machine. Get some more photos up in daylight when you get a chance.

Can't complain for a 2003 model with only 17,000km............ and for what I paid for it  :evil

Got the seat cover mounted and MHD bobbins with subtle rim stickers in blue.

Major mods will be made in winter time, but next jop will be blu LED clock lights.

Very nice, Nik. You have the colour that I was looking for. Somehow I ended up with boring grey !
Still a great bike though. I hope that you have as much pleasure riding as I have.

Yesterday just a short ride to Riva del Garda which is about 30 minutes from my house.
Went to the Dainese Pro Shop.
Got a couple of accessories.

Lovely scenery, Nik. What sort of temperature is it there today. It's 19 degrees here in Wales. What are your winters like ? Last year, road salt was plastered in my area on October 15th. Fazer was put away and my old workhorse XJ600 used until April.

I had a blue one like that - 2002. Loved the colour. Had a Mivv GP on it, the normal short carbon can not the conic. Mine had Renthal bars  (658 and then 758), heated grips, belly pan, Scottoiler and I cut the rear mudguard to fit the number plate, just leaving a small tab for the reflector.

Went mountain biking in the mountains round Garda many years ago. I think we stayed in Riva. What a fantastic area! Definitely preferred it to Sorrento, where they grow lemons but if you ask for a slice in your Coke they refuse! Nobody wears crash helmets down there and they ride scooters 3-up with shopping and a dog LOL!

I live near Bedfont/T5 and remember the MC name but never actually went in.
