NEW PM
« on: 11 July 2016, 05:50:20 pm »
I was wrong about Gove being PM.

By Wednesday we will have a new PM Mrs May

Now that leadsom has fallen on to her stroller/buggy and thrown her terry toweling nappies into the ring.
We now will have a new PM who was a reluctant Brexiter who hopefully has the ability to unite both the inners and the outers and finally move forward.
Now watch the children of the markets stop crying and watch the pound and the markets rocket.

The leave lot certainly did not hang about before jumping ship. The lot of them are a disgrace. Hopefully May can pull it together now and we can move on.

Smoke and mirrors, all I know it is costing me about £600 a month in my pension and other savings as I live in France.

Well thankfully I am only paying €1.09 for diesel for the car and €2.50 for a drinkable bottle of wine, also the sun is shinning here, been 30 degs + for two weeks now, not all bad.

You don't even vote for a government. You vote for a MP who then combine themselves along party lines to form a government, or coalition. Then they do deals amongst themselves to decide who is running the country. You have no idea what you are voting for until after the event. That's 'democracy'!

Though in theory you don't vote for a PM, Satan will be ice skating to work the day labour is voted in government with Corbin as leader and therefore becoming the PM

I reckon if they called a general election tomorrow UKIP would be the opposition. The labour party will split into the left and then the very far left. Even with Eagle at the helm they are un-electable.

Oh dear Maggie? really? WE HELD CELEBRATORY PARTIES AT HER DEMISE up north, remember.

Though in theory you don't vote for a PM, Satan will be ice skating to work the day labour is voted in government with Corbin as leader and therefore becoming the PM

You're right, the Labour Party is in tatters and they won't recover from this for at least a decade. Corbin who by all accounts is an honourable man is 30 years out of date with his old school socialist principles. Also, as a CND supporter he's virtually unelectable.

She's a Tory, and a particulary manipulative and nasty Tory at that.

She's certainly happy to peddle lies to the media and her supporters and I for one was surprised that she didn't have to stand down as Home Secretary when she peddled the old story of the asylum seeker that couldn't be sent home as he had a pet cat becuase of the human rights act.  May knew it wasn't true but she peddled it anyway.

She's also happy to use people's lives as bargaining chips as we've just seen with the many EU citizens who are already long term residents.  She voted to bomb Syria - doh!

She's just another scum bag Tory.

Leadsom however was a bit of a Brois, but without the brains and only just entertaining in a sort of slow motion train crash kind of way.

And don't read too much into May saying she gonna take us out of the EU.  It's just cheap talk - thankfully.

One thing Theresa May will do, is put that wee lassie Nicola back in her box, She will win the Scots around to wanting to stay in the Union.
I also reckon one of her first tasks will be to rip Merkel a new arsehole. The French poodle Hollande will be crapping himself. May has more balls than the lot of the Tory front bench put together.
Anyone reckon VNA is really a member of MI5 or 6, he always seems to have his ear close to the door.

be happy you get your 10 seconds of democracy when you actually put the cross on the person you want to vote for, then it's Fook off for another 5 years as the winner will do exactly what his or her party wants them to do & say--so suck it up.

As usual VNA has it spot on. Just another Tory in the same mould, but this outcome has been arranged to fit in with the surprise  Brexit outcome. 'Gove stabbing Boris in the back then standing down', 'Leadsom a serious contender ' -  did you really believe all that rubbish! The Tories are making the best of a bad job. If we are out of the EU within 2 years, or even close, I'll buy everybody a pint :-)

Well thank god someone is because labour are running around like headless chickens trying to find a way to get elected into government-- not doing what's best for the country but doing what they believe is best for THEM.

Leadsoms biggest "crime" was walking into the most obvious trap that was being set by the Guardian journalist, it couldn't of been a more obvious trap if it were attached to a trip wire and a grand piano and the silly woman walked right into it.

Gove meetings with Murdoch, Before Boris announces, Gove seeks MPs support to get Leadsom out of race,So just him and May on the ticket, Murdoch rag trashes Leadsoms chances. Gove history of saying never wants to be prime Minister.

Who chooses our Prime Minister Again ?

And if May does turn out to be Maggie 2.0 >: unity is the last thing she will be achieveing

How fascinating to read your views. To me Brexit is a disaster brought on by an incompetent Tory party and the advent of Mrs May portends nothing more than a continuation of a right wing government motivated solely by profit and lining their own pockets. How much will Theresa May seek to punish Amazon an Starbucks when her husband is a senior executive with a hedge fund company specialising in tax evasion and with huge investments in both companies? Jeremy Corbyn speaks for me with intelligence and reason and, above all, with compassion for all.
