Looking good, sure makes a difference once it's all shiney just watch though when you first use it to lift the bike, putting your foot on a newly painted bit of metal can just slip off Guess you'll be doing the side stand too once this is back on the bike, might be best doing that in situ as the side stand spring is a foccer to get back on
I have now repaired the rubber stopper with a stainless steel machine screw and nylo nut. There is already a hole in the stopper that gos 3/4 the way down so I just had to drill it all the way through and the widen the top half the take the screw head so it was below the surface.Also because the screw is m6 ( I think) and the hole in the stand is much bigger I first dropped in a stainless split washer as that was the only thing that would both fit within the hole and go over the screw shaft this then acted as a step down spacer so the stopper wont have any chance of moving side to side.
