services section
« on: 29 April 2016, 08:45:08 pm »
Could we have a services section on the main forum page, not tucked away, in articles etc.
I'M sure we've all struggled to find engineers, powder coater's sprayer's at one time or another and I would also put money on some smaller companies going out of business due to lack of work.
I've suggested companies to forum members and vice versa but this was down to luck. If there was a place to recommend companies or even members to advertise their services it could be of use to others.
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

I'll have a think on it buddy, but when we transferred from the previous site we made the decision to keep stickies to a minimum and streamline the site as much as we could, hence a few things becoming articles and such.

We used to have a dedicated subforum for such things, but just before the switch I think it had been pushing a year (if not longer) since anyone had actively posted in it.

Cheers,
Aegis

Thanks for the reply.

I didn't think it would be the most used section but if others, like myself, are trying to find specialist services it could save a lot of time and energy
