rentec rack
« on: 31 March 2016, 07:43:50 pm »
Evening foccers.....just bought a used rentec rack from a fellow foccer, going to collect it on saturday, going on the bike with the intention of bolting it on and riding home with it fitted so my question is....can I use the stardard grab handle bolts to bolt the rack on ?.....oh....got a 98 box eye in fast red  ;)

I don't know if you are supposed to, but it's what I use to change between the grab handle and the rentec.  It's never fallen off...... yet :)

I've always left them in place, so grab rail or rentek sits on them.  The bike came with both grab rail and rentek and I've used the spacers and bolts that were supplied at the time, I presume they are standard, hang on I'll go measure one.....

Big thanks to HARRYHORNBY + DARRSI for photos and replies and offer of free parts  :thumbup......thats what makes this forum soooooooo goood    :)

picked the rack up this morning, in excellent condition and never been fitted, pleased with my purchase, fitted it at sellers house using grab handle bolts and standard spacers, fits really well....I think the differenc is in the grab handles, my bikes is an early boxeye with the tubular grab handle ...they changed them on the later bikes, will post a piccie in the morning just so you lot can see what a well fitting rack looks like  :pokefun.... :lol............thanks again foccers  :thumbup

Piccies as promised........fits well and not bulky, just what I wanted....

would be handy to have a top box for those awkward loads, dont want to hack the grab rail off my new shiny rack to fit it though.any ideas/top tips foccers ?
