Blue Mk1?
« on: 02 March 2012, 10:19:18 am »
I'm compiling a list of recently sold 600 Fazers and came across this.  I don't recall the Mk1 in this blue (looks like the Mk2 blue).  Am I right?

Thats the same as my old 2001 (facelift) which forms the model bridge between Mk1 and Mk2 and to my mind the best one to get

Hm, interesting.  What other changes were there?  Bigger tank?

Andy, have a look in the Hot Poop area for all the differences but the basics are:

Different rear pegs, different fairing, clock, adjustable forks and a different filler tube on the tank meaning more fuel can be put in easily.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

If you are refering to the square headlight model as a Mk I then this colour blue is correct for the later versions.

Over a period of time several updates were made to the Mk I including revised clocks, painted fork legs, fork pre-load adjustment and a larger tank.

My first Fazer a 2001 was one of the last Mk I in this colur blue with all these enhancements.

In Fazed's case it is also the colour most likely to defy gravity..he doesn't just wear out footpegs...he does the indicators too

Nearly bought one in that colour, looked great and was reallly refreshing, compared to the garish colour schemes other bikes had at the time, sadly the finance company screwed me over on it and I ended up buying a CBR. At least now I've got the blue 1000 instead :)
