Ok many thanks - will do.
Just got in and checked rear wheel bearings - they're shot; that will be the third set in 35,000 miles and I've been pretty careful when fitting them (freeze new bearings and hot air gun on wheel etc). Think it's the pavement edges that catches the needle roller.

I replaced my spark plugs on my FZ1n last year. You only have to disconnect the top radiator mount & swing the radiator down, with much fiddling you can replace the spark plugs.
