Fzs600 Foxeye Fzs1000 left hand mirror
« on: 20 January 2016, 08:31:53 pm »
Anyone got a left hand mirror for the Foxeye 600 or the Fzs1000

Would take both if anyone does not want to sell one on its own

Think I've got a tatty one in loft, might be a left one. Will need to check. It'll be one where the rivet hinge has been bolted back together though.

The mirrors are never quite the same when the hinge rivet has been replaced with a bolt, I did that to my right hand mirror on my 2003 Foxeye, for some reason I can not get the torque quite right on the bolt, at 100 mph plus the mirror moves backwards and I can see my own shoulder and half my chest but f--k all behind. But when I slow down the mirror stays in that position and needs a gentle push to get it to spring back under its own tension, it seems as if if is to loose and to tight at the same time.
I cannot bolt the mirror up tight because I need to fold then in when going through my gate to park up, plus its not helpful when tight filtering in slow traffic having a mirror that can not be pulled in.
Any way I will stop bleating now and go dry my eyes and get on with my life.

Tommy mate, you shouldn't be doing 100mph plus at your age - you'll get frost bite! ;)

Saying that, from your piccy below, if you did it in an open face helmet it should sort out the wrinkles  :lol
