I've got a screw loose...
« on: 26 October 2015, 10:59:16 pm »
Well, actually a couple of them!

I have the Power Commander III with the multi-map option and the screws that hold the switch onto the handlebar bracket have hallen out (probably vibrated loose).

According to the people at PC, they are #2-56 x 3/8 Phillips Pan Head Machine Screws

Does anyone have a couple of these (and maybe a couple more as spares) that they could let me have so I don't have to buy a packet of 100 of them?

A few masonry nails should hold it

He'd spend more on taps than screws :lol
Surprised they're not metric. What does the #2-56 mean?

I've fucking heard it all now, an advanced rider who's probably spent hundreds to get the bragging rights of exclusivity, rubs it in our face at every opportunity but is too tight to buy some fucking screws.  Well done that man, you're a special kind of person.  :rollin

You can get them cheap here: http://www.accuscrews.co.uk/imperial-socket-button-head-screws/29891-SSB-2-56-3-8-A2.html?uk_google_shopping=1&gclid=CjwKEAjwwbyxBRCS74T049iEp0wSJACkO5v1-euwBecoFaqusXXlEpY4IinAdDel_6xUTAw3ApgVZRoCtUXw_wcB

Its Allen key head not Philips but that is probably better...

Gaffer tape

Already tried it, but it loses adhesion when it gets wet, hence why I want to put new screws in.

Ah! Thanks for the helpful reply :thumbup

I'd found other sources, but they all wanted to sell me a packet of 100, which seemed a bit unnecessary.

No abuse needed Harry,  cos......1. I know you don't mean it.
                                                          2. I don't care if you did.
                                                          3. I probably deserve it.
And this is the important one.... 4. I understand banter.  :D
