I tried watching it but had more chance of losing the will to live than dying from a toenail infection.
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.

Why is it whenever i queue to use a cash point i always seem to get a person in front of me that looks like they'd have trouble using a doorbell?
Yesterday i waited about 8 minutes i reckon, after the fella had called his mate over to discuss what button to try next.  :pc

LOL at your post Sharpie.
A few months ago I went into Halfords at Waterlooville and purchased about 40 quids worth of bits and bobs and was chatting to the very attractive girl at the pay point, she told me the price and I stuck my card in the machine and continued to have some friendly banter and she said your number, so, like a prat I stood there and told her my number, her reply was are you OK being out on your own? I left immediately with a red face. :lol

I've never heard of that rule. And besides, I used an escalator today and just stood there until it got to the top. Why would you walk up an escalator ? You might as well use the stairs.
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

I worked for a few years in Oxford Street, it's certainly a London thing, and very annoying when people stand still on the left when you're in a hurry as most London workers are.

Ah.. that would explain it. Very rarely see anyone walking up an escalator down here.

I've never heard of that rule.

If you ever travel on the London Underground, you'll see signs saying that on all the escalators and it (sort of) carries over to other places.

Because the escalator is moving, so you don't climb so many steps. Also you can climb as many or as few as you want and then rest if you feel like it and you'll still get to the top quicker than using the stairs.

I stood on the left of the underground escalator the first time I travelled by train to London 25 years ago.

I soon got corrected by the happy commuters rushing up the steps 😄

Never did it again.

Bloody black Merc E series private taxis driven by colonials - nuff said  :grumble  Feckin twice today made contact in London. Lost a lot of front bumper clips when you kick down on  them.

I take it L'Bob is tucked up nice and safe in the garage at the moment as you haven't had it MOT'd yet

Insurance companies who like to auto-renew your policy and then demand / take payment 😡

Also their mad reimbursement rates, should you cancel an annual policy early (that you paid for upfront).
It doesn't follow the logic... divide your premium by 12 months, then you'll get the remaining unused months returned, if you cancelled early.

INSTEAD - it goes like this (did on my last bike policy). I basically got reimbursed just a few pounds, when I cancelled at about 4 months!..

Cancel by end of Month # : Premium amount returned.
Month 1: 70%
Month 2: 15%
Month 3: 10%
Month 4: 3%
Month 5: 2%
Month 6: 0%
Month 7: 0%
Month 8: 0%

That's why I pay monthly, It only costs a few quid extra over the year and if you cancel you just stop paying.

Very true. Some advantages to both. Live and learn.

Did I also mention I think I got zapped by a mobile speed van last Friday (that'll bump up my premium!) :oops
Saw the guy jump out of his van, run round the front in my direction... did he get a chance to snap the Plate on the rear of my :faz............................ Orrrrrr not!? :bobby

Then you start mulling over actually how fast you THINK you were going!  :rolleyes
