The foccing placement of drain covers in the road!!!

[...]

It was slippery enough this morning but to make matters worse the route I had to take to work (because of foccing roadworks) must have had a drain on every corners apex and midway round every roundabout! Yet on all the straights there's wasn't a thing

It's almost like they are trying to kill us off!

High Grip Manhole Covers have been around since at least 2008. Some councils have even tried them, but it seems that they're too expensive (or bikers' lives are too cheap) to make it worthwhile putting the damn things out on the roads :(

Reading answered questions on products in amazon where someone has asked a question and others reply, sorry haven't used that feature, not received mine yet, I don't own that model, why the Foc bother replying with nothing.

Like this you mean  :lol

Got to work yesterday and nearly dropped the bike (again) as my foot slipped, I assumed that was due to the recently painted, shiny concrete floor, gathered my belongings, both feet sliding around like mad, and trudged up into the office. And there I discovered what was lubricating my boots so efficiently had been a thick layer of canine excrement.
Ever had to clean dogshit out of the soles of TCX boots? Crap squishes into that ultra-fine tread pattern with the aim of staying there forever. Took me half an hour with a bottle of bleach and a bogbrush borrowed from one of the work loos. And then I took the brush and bleach down to the basement carpark and decontaminated the footrests, brake and gear levers... and the surrounding area which looked like Mr Hanky had paid a visit.
So, it's probably been listed here before, but what Gets My Goat is: dog owners who let their mutts shit anywhere. :grumble

I'm with you on that one Fazerider.
Some owners know how to shovel cans full of Pedigree Chum in one end but not know how to deal with the stuff that emulates from the other end.

I have a small grassed area outside my house and for some reason someone, who I have not yet managed to catch, appears to take their dog to that patch every day and allow it to shit then walk or drive off and leave it there, The shit that is, not the dog. :lol  he! he!
But rest assured I will catch them, and will probably end up getting bitten by their dog.  :'(

Follow them after and post the poop in their letterbox or smear it over their car windscreen or door handles
I'm a dog owner and it really pisses me off when people don't pick up their poop.
Although the other night me and the mrs took the dog out over the park it was pitch black and we've an all black dog we saw she was pooping but it was a bit away from us and by the time we got there couldn't see it despite 10 minutes with a torch and phone lights, when we got home it turned out the mrs was stood in it that's why we couldn't find it  :lol  took her 20 minutes of gagging to clean her boots while I loudly pissed myself laughing

Now a real gent would have done that for her :rolleyes
I agree though it would make me gag try to clean dog shit off my shoe, mind you cat shit is just as bad, that is why I have trained my cat not to shit in my garden, they learn very quickly when reminded by a 22 pellet from a Webley Raider. :lol

Yup a real gent would have done that but where's the fun in that  :lol  plus she would have pissed herself laughing at me gagging while I was being a gentleman so discretion was the better part of valour.
My neighbour has 6 ( yes  6 ) cats and they shit everywhere except her garden, especially the old Victorian sink the mrs put as a planter thingy in the front garden they think its a poop tray and crap on her plants or squash them when they squat . I suggested putting camouflaged wooden spikes or skewers in there so they get a surprise when they squat but she won't let me, she wouldn't let me get a Webley raider or equivalent either  :rolleyes

You should shovel up the cat shit and throw it back over the fence. Return of property :)

I almost think I would rather people did NOT pick up the dog doo because that way hopefully I can see it and walk around it, in my book its not enough to scrape it up leaving a shitty smudge that you cannot see but will still walk in and then all over your house.
Dog walkers should also be made to spray disinfectant on the area and also spray a white circle around the area that would last for a week or so.
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

The neighbour is actually ok ( just a bit cat mad ) and it's a bit hard to train a cat to crap in its own garden unfortunately and there are so many other cats around you can't know who's it is although I think the mrs has secretly done that a few times although she won't admit it  :rolleyes

I really don't mind if people just join the forum just to sell their stuff, as long as its relevant to the site, e.g. Fazer stuff. Especially if we get a chance to get a bargain directly without having to battle with people on ebay. Would we really be bothered if someone joined up to sell a pair of good condition Gen 1 faring infills for £20, or a complete set of downpipes with working EXUP for £50? The people who join-to-sell are probably just getting rid of stuff they have ended up with and have no interest in joining in with discussions etc for a bike they haven't got. I think its jolly nice of them to give us the opportunity to buy them first.
Obviously its a bit different if they are just selling their X-Box, a Mk 5 escort 1.3 bonus or a knackered mini moto.

Still only takes a line or so of typing for someone to introduce themselves. I just see it as a plain courtesy. Some forums only allow access to the sales section after a requisite number of posts.

When a road widens with a turn right lane with chevrons leading up to it, and some people block the lane as they seem to fear putting a couple of wheels in the chevron area!

if its a solid white line around the chevrons then they can't enter the chevron, even with a broken line the caveat is that you can enter if needs must.....there's no given right of entry

12yr old kids that run out from between 2 transit vans in torrential rain then splat themselves all over your front fairing, bending your wing mirror totally inwards and nearly knocking you and the bike over.........then run off.

That got my goat tonight.

Of course, i was side swiped though so i literally never saw him anyway.
In fairness he was simply getting soaked, it was very heavy rain.
