At least they let you past. In my experience as soon as they realise they are being overtaken by a lorry they stick their foot down and leave you sat in the middle lane like a dummy!
I find the same in my car. Cruise control on at 75(ish) and overtake a car only for it to overtake you again and again and again as they cannot control their speed. Sometimes they creep past, other times they go past at 80-85 but you soon go past them again.Muppets.
Drive faster or deal with being passed by a coach

I see this more and more, don't know what they're upto, but they certainly aren't watching what's going on roundabout them
And then there's the idiots on the slip roads. They're on the slip road but ahead of the wagon, but decelerate rather than accelerate safely out in front of you, you pull over to let them onto the carriageway, then when you are almost past them they remember where the accelerator is, shoot up the inside and your sat in the middle lane like a dummy!
You need to stop at some point soon do you not? yep, to have our FREE lunches and vouchersGet a real driving job, drive a truck i would but couldn't be without my tips

the muppets trying to join and foccing off all the trucks
Though I do tend to use the acceleration lanes perhaps a little aggressively... I sort of see it as my right to see how accurate the manufacturers figures of 0-60 are
Still, in my opinion it's safer to join the motorway at 85 than 55

We've had this discussion on here before somewhere, it's a foccin acceleration lane, if the numpty on it can't get upto speed and join at the speed of the traffic on it and use the give way lines, they don't get on in my book, they get the sound of a massive air horn and that generally wakes them up
dawdle along at 59 (real) mph then as soon as i've passed them at 62 mph come flying past me then sit back at 59, so i pass them again, so they fly past me, then slow down to 59...........AAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!Drive faster or deal with being passed by a coach...................it's not big to race a speed restricted vehicle FFS!i passed an Aygo 4 times on the M4 yesterday.

ever seen a car go up the embankment after this happens to them with a truck cos it doesnt move cos it cant/wont/doesnt have to - even tho theres a hard shoulder to use they shite it and hang a left madness
My mind on it is that you can typically slow down easier and faster than you can accelerate, though I appreciate the slight legality issue :P
Regarding joining motorways and dealing with people joining.I agree with Dead Eye, as long as there is no one in front of you on the slip road, I always make sure im doing a good chunk more speed than the people already on the M-way, its easier to scrub 20mph off than to put it on. Plus you are more likely to find a point to safely join if you are going at a different speed than the other vehicles, passing more gaps in the traffic, and its always better to slow down, join, and match speed, than to join going slower than the flow of traffic, then try to speed up to get away from the artic up your chuff.I never pass a blind junction (or any junction if I can help it) when im on a M-way/dual carriageway in the inside lane, I've seen too many people come dawdling down the acceleration lane, not even looking if there are any gaps until they are 50% past the point where they could have joined, then try to join doing the same speed as the artic which is trundling down the inside lane at 56mph. Ive also seen too many people stop at the end of the slip road as if the solid white line is a brick wall, much to the consternation of the other people coming down the slip road only to find a car stopped where they are just not expecting it. People who don't seem to be able to keep a steady speed up, and keep overtaking you when you are doing the same speed. People who hog lanes and don't pull over when they can, even when there is obviously a queue of traffic behind them.People who pull out in front of you and make no effort to match your speed, causing you and everyone else behind you to slow down. The people above usually don't even know they are doing anything wrong, they are completely oblivious to you behind them, and everything else which is not in their line of sight right in front of them. If they do look in their mirrors and see you there when you weren't there before, they do not think, "Where's he come from?, he wasn't there before, he must be travelling quicker than me, better get out of his way and let him bugger off", they are more likely to look see you there and think "theres a car behind me" AND THAT'S IT!!!! No further thought is dedicated to you.I blame the demise of the public information film and people just having no thought for other road users.I could go on for hours, but I wont (thankfully).
