The cars get a little better MPG, up to 10% maybe (but I rarely ever see 30 MPG anyway) but this doesn't cover the extra cost of the fuel.
I have an MG ZS with a 2.5L V6 oh dear!!!!have the butterflies started fluttering yet The RX-8 on the other hand I haven't tracked on normal fuel but it averages more like 17 MPG but I'm not sure if it will take advantage of the higher RON or not being a rotary engine. I guess it's possible but I still don't know as much about them as I do typical piston engines

I guess it's possible but I still don't know as much about them as I do typical piston enginesthe renesis motor has too many sensors to allow it to get near pre-ignition. my old 13b motor had 290 at the wheels and had to have super+. but once the boost got into double figures, the mpg went into singles
Regular for me. My mad skills aren't good enough to notice any difference and if I want to clean the fuel system I go for a 10 quid can of carb cleaner.
