Did anyone get a battery with there's? I bought one, it has an internal battery but never came with a removable battery. My picture quality is abysmal too, I can only read number plates of vehicles close than 10 feet away. Barely tell what brand of car is attached to the plate. I'm in contact with the seller so let's hope I can remedy the poor picture.

Mine came with a battery, SD card hasn't shown up yet though.  :\

I've only switched the thing on to have a quick look, but first impressions on the small monitor were very good, which can only look better once the card is put into a laptop with a bigger screen.

Here's a photo from my dash cam. After corresponding the chap at the other end said it was the same as the description but maybe not as good as I'd thought it would be. No shit says I.

Thats what I said on page 1

I watched the vid at 720 and could not read any number plate or sign posts, is that an issue or was that just settings my end

There may be focus issues as well, but the blockiness of that image makes it look like it wasn't taken by a 720 line sensor... I'd guess it's 180 lines interpolated up to fake high definition.

Still haven't played with mine, as SD card hasn't arrived although could now be at my work, but that does look particularly bad.
Did notice i could switch to 1080 as well though.
I'll post results shortly.

Just found an SD card, albeit not a high speed one, just so i could have a play with it.
First impressions........pretty damn ropey to be honest, but i'm gonna be more critical than most 'cos i spend all day looking at HD monitors at work.
720 was certainly noticably worse than 1080 so that won't get used, i never even bothered trying the VGA setting.
There's not many menus to go through, just adjust them one at a time and you can't go too wrong, unless you press the system reset button, then everything is displayed in Chinese, which is fine, if you're Chinese, but i am not.
If you do this perchance, press the menu button and it's the 2nd menu down that changes it back.
I noticed if you take a still of a paused video it makes it even worse so i've not bothered showing one on here yet, until i've tried the correct card out.
It didn't seem to do too much when i plugged the unit into the USB on my laptop, it didn't want to recognise it at all, but that's no big deal.
I took the card out, and inserted it into my laptop instead and it asked me if i wanted to download media, which it did straight away, then you can just play the file(s).
You need to format the card before using it too, which is on one of the menus.
I'll post more when it's been tried out properly, but for under a tenner i was hardly expecting 8k quality.
It is what it is.......cheap and cheerful, and is really designed to see vehicles misbehaving rather than the drivers eyes, so it is more than capable of doing the job.  :)

Although not great for recording a license plate it would still be of use in a claim I reckon. Consider Punkstig's crash - no license shown but perfect evidence to show the fault of the driver :)
