Now, if any of us punched someone at work we would be fired once people confirmed what happened. IMHO, Clarkson should suffer the same fate so why do so many people laugh it up and want him back on the show?

As for political correctness bollocks that the BBC have been on about, that is Clarkson and the world needs to be less PC in my mind and have a laugh.

Sack him for gross misconduct but forget the rest.

Except they wont will they, they wont sack him as he is a golden goose for them with Top Gear in the current format being sold all over the world.

Being on a last and final warning then punching someone does warrant the sack no question......but will the BBC keep him on as Top Gear is their biggest export and makes them tens of millions each year.

Its a difficult decision for the BBC to make as there has to be an example made after all his warnings and racist gaffs.........however, if one of my sales guys made me tens of millions and punched me....I'd punch him back and keep him on.

they have already got this weeks show in the can so show that one, then have 2 specials with guest presenter Chris Evans on one & Guy Martin on the other and see how the ratings for those compare against this weeks show!! simples!!

I think its a good opportunity to freshen the show up a bit. I like it, but Clarkson is a bit long in the tooth now and has been almost a parady of himself for a while now.

The show has become cliched and contrived, so a new presenter might be a good call.

Sack him he deserted his home town of Doncaster, erm maybe thats not a reason but he was complaining about motorbikes spoiling his peace and quiet near his posh house and said it's nothing a length of wire between a couple of trees wouldn't solve, I can never forgive him for that (and it has been done).

Did I read once that clarkson is top gear and owns the company?
If so he'll take the show to the highest bidder!
Must admit I don't find it compulsive viewing anymore.

Storm in a tea cup really.

Now, Frank Sinatra.....He knew how to kick off

FRANK SINATRA
Aboard his private plane after being serviced in public by a chorus girl, Sinatra called out for a hard-boiled egg. Frank cracked one hard on the top of his diamond ring. The egg was raw.
“Frank exploded with the lightning flash of an atom bomb. He leaped out of his seat like a jack-in-the box, spun [the man who gave him the egg] 180 degrees, wrapped his arms around the man’s shoulders and started shoving him down the aisle, screaming obscenities. “You’re out of here! Somebody open the f—in’ door.”
He was seriously threatening to throw the man out of the plane.
Suddenly Dean Martin, the voice of reason, was in the aisle and blocked Frank’s path. “You’re not throwing anybody out, Frank,” Dean said

Clarkson is a bit of a silly billy. I'll recount a previous altercation....

Many years ago at a Top Gear live we were hosting some clients at the corporate bit and about to tuck into some after show beers.  In breezes JC (note the initials) with hangers-on and starts to try and pinch our drinks.  Being of similar height I approached JC and started to explain these were our drinks for our Clients and he was welcome to have one and I asked if he'd like to come and say hello to the team and the Clients.  A fair approach I thought, WRONG!!  "Eff off you pleb!", replied Jeremy.  What a charmer! If I was a policeman at Downing St could have been worth a few quid  :b

JC has apologised for racist remarks, shagging his Wife's friend, shagging lot's of other people, having rows with his neighbours and being a general arse.  I expect an apology for throwing the punch which he didn't mean to do and he'll be oh so sincere....

I'm biased, but imho he can do one

Locksmith - The BBC bought the Top Gear rights from him for a large sum of money so he couldn't take it anywhere else. I guess the bbc will say the final warning was for racist comments so physical assault won't count. Personally I think he's so far up his own arse he actually believes he can do what he likes. Kick him out and get some fresh blood in. Kelly Brook gets my vote  :)

I stopped watching a while back, its the same jokes every week. Its gotten stale and not only should Clarkson go but the simpering, langly, limp wristed, tosspot & the giggling, imbecile midget should go as well.

Have a complete new start.... I know most of the time Clarkson and co are playing characters but its gotten old.

JC is not liked by the new BBC controller and so is being massaged out of the business

Hmm..I do like The Red Arrows, fantastic to watch at air-shows, but no substitute for a new episode of Top Gear :'(. I hardly watch any tele & apart from the superbikes, BBC2 8p.m Sunday is the highlight of my viewing week :rolleyes.
