Hi all
Just joined after speaking with a few members on your Facebook page. I have a gen 1 Fazer 1000 that I've owned since last June after old age decided it was probably time to give up motocross and leave that to my two sons instead.......for now!

Yeah, when I sold my original gen1 I was very tempted to get another gen1 in that colour scheme, but then I saw the  gen2 in  similiar colours I could not resist.

That's smart, I'm sure I saw s pic of a gen1 with those forks on the other day, I guess you'd have to change the whole front end from the clamps down to make them fit wouldn't you?

There are a few guys on here that have fitted R1 front ends to the gen1, thats probably what you have seen.  I think that the yokes have to be altered to fit.

Ah right, something else for me to look into then. I'm going to have some Roadsmart 2's fitted this weekend and I've emailed Mike about getting it i aniseed but not heard back from him as yet.

I wouldnt say it looks crap, it looks good, better than without one...but i do think it would better suit a more petite version.

Ive gone between the 2 bikes here a dozen or so times...both stunning...i honestly dont have a preference looks wise, even though im a gen2 owner.

But on both versions i always feel personally that the silver bits ie rad cover sides, rear sets, middle covers could do with being more stealthy as they stick out a bit amongst the black, yous might love them though, being a bit picky really coz like i say i do like them......im hardly the Gok Wan of bikes am i.

Mick-H I like your wheels and seat, I will be looking at a custom seat at some point I think, I've just had some Dunlop Roadsmart 2 tyres fitted last weekend so will be out scrubbing those in this weekend.

Hi Unfazed, we truly do have good tastes, a quick squint at your profile shows you even  have the same signature that I use on a motocross forum I belong to Lol, great minds and all that B)

Cheers Mike, seat is a Corbin, wheels were done at http://www.triple-s.co.uk/index.htm
Keep us updated on your thoughts of the Roadsmart 2's I'll be getting some fitted at the end of the month all being well, had the originals on my first Fazer and for me they were the best tyres I've ever had.
