Seeing as there are going to be so many of us, do we need a proper signaling system at junctions?  Just imagine if we left Midden somewhere.........

What do you reckon to this...

tail end charlie wears a hi vis or something similar and stays at the back.

At every junction the person who's currently in 2nd place stops at the junction to show the rest of the pack where to go.

Once the person with the bib passes, said waiting person leaves the junction and overtakes the bib wearer making the bib wearer last again

repeat until we get lost........

Splendid idea!  As long as the  bib wearer isn't a Splitter or takes bib off *for a laugh* we should be fine :)

OK people we've got less than a week to go so we need to get a few more details in place..... firstly... while I'm sure the power of the Fazer will powerful enough for us all to gravitate towards each other in Saffron Waldon... WHERE IN SAFFRON WALDON SHALL WE MEET?

Does anyone know the town or shall we just meet here?  I thought Tesco would be good because we can all fill up.
TESCO
Radwinter Road Saffron Walden Essex CB10 2JP

Secondly, can you please private message me your mobile numbers so I can do a list of contacts for the day.  I'll get them all together and print them off, along with a copy of that route even though I know it's very subject to change it will at least give people an idea of the area should they get lost (Midden).

Thirdly, who actually knows this area and would like to lead us all out?  I'm happy to be the tail end charlie and wear the fetching bib for the junction drop off system.

Anymore for anymore??????

Sorry but I will have to pull out of this ride out. All available finance has become a sofa for me to rest my tiered hard working body. That is after wife's instruction

Not looking good for me either  :\....used the bike for work the last couple of days, tuesday it struggled to start, turned over for a long time before it started, always starts within seconds even on freezing mornings.today was the same but when I came to come home it wouldn't start , had to get a lift home and leave it there.......theres a bit of play  in the ignition, been like it for years, that and the fact I cant hear the fuel pump ticking makes me think its the ignition barrell......wont have time to look untill saturday morning.....with exception to the stutter I had the old girl has never let me down in 14 years of ownership......hopefully with a bit of that contact cleaning stuff I'll be ok....if I need parts iam fooked.....my thou in bits and not taxed so cant use that either.....hatd being without a bike   :'(

All in all the weather isn't looking particularly great this weekend :(

I'll be hanging on until the morning to figure out exactly how bad it is going to be. Off on Saturday morning to get the bike cleaned and ACF treated :)

Yes Eddie, weather permitting and if any of us can actually find the tescos we'll be there!!!!!   :-)

If it's some rain for the day I'll still go, if it's chucking it down I think we postpone.

I reckon we will be ok on Sunday, especially in the morning/early afternoon.  Sittingbourne gives rain from about 4pm but saffron is showing sun and cloud all day.  As the week has gone on the weather has become more favourable so fingers crossed.

Is everyone ok with the plan?

11.00 Saffron Waldon Tesco

For the local(ish) lads is that a sensible meeting place?

If you decide on the day that you're not up for it, please text me or Dazza so we don't end up waiting.

I'll PM everyone my number later today.

Gonna have to duck out of this as I've come down with some sort of virus bug man flu. Feel and look like shite so probably not a good idea to go nutting about on bikes.

If by tomorrow I make a miraculous recovery I will be there but I very much doubt it.
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad
