High Level Exhaust
« on: 31 January 2015, 07:58:25 pm »
Hi Guys,

Been a little bored over the past couple of weeks so I sorted myself a new exhaust. What do you reckon?

Started off with a Mivv MotoGP (pics 1&2) and changed this afternoon to the high level option (pics 3&4).

I like the look of both but don't think the missus would be impressed with the high level one burning through her leg?
If you're keeping the high level one, will you be selling the Mivv on?
Porquoi moi?

Thanks for the comments David. Problem is I like both options too !

I will see how the high level option performs over the next couple of months. If I like it then I will sell the Mivv. If you are interested drop me a PM.

The high level definitely sounds good and doesnt seem to be retrictive at all, which I thought it might be given the extra pipe length. It also doesnt pop n fart so much as the Mivv on the over-run, which pleases me.

Fortunately I dont have a pillion to worry about which makes life easier  :)

Its a Holeshot link pipe and bracket  (from Dale Walker in USA) using an SP Engineering end can. Checkout his website or the US version of the FZ8 forum

I am more likely to sell the Mivv to be honest - the high level pipe sounds awesome and I am well happy with it

I quite like the high mount exhaust.  I think I will try and source one to replace my Akro.   :)

Im running an SP Engineering big bore can on my FZ8 and they do howl once the revs rise..

For me, I like the position of the can tucked up just not sold on the long link pipe...

I see the Akra has been sold ... does that mean you have gone for a high level option ?

Yes Akra has gone.  I have not decided on another exhaust option yet.  Just put the standard back on for now mate.  I do like your hi level option though.

I have gone for an SP engineering option myself, but with out the high link pipe.  Prefer the lower pipe option.

Cheers
Andy.
