Hi Fella.

Thing is they'll only be able to get in contact from here and see this mesage if they both log onto this site. But it seems the re-direct from the Yuku site isn't always working.

I only got the re-direct to here by chance after doing a google search.

Right been getting few enquiry's on people wanting to buy there own shock's

so to clarify this is the shock you need to buy (this is scousy's shipping out wen's)
this also answers the condition of the shocks i get at most they have done run in miles only this one's don nowt

this one run in miles only

As you can see some have paint damage this is at the back of the shock and not seen when fitted
this is because when they are removed to fit ohlins there not to clever at looking after them for example the ones from paul brice racing
were all stacked on top each other in a corner all 30 of them

Also please use the foto's here to make sure if you are getting your own that it matches these only or as four others have found to there cost they WILL NOT fit

A question for anyone who has done the R6 shock mod. How have you overcome the problem of the R6 shock having a 10mm top mounting hole, and the  Fazer having  12mm mounting holes? I can only think of drilling out the shock, but there is not much meat in the bush, or making two bushes to fit in the mounting bracket, a bit fiddly, any other ideas?

drill it but use a pillar drill to keep it inline there's enough meat dont let it over heat as you will spin the coller within the bush then you are fooked

Thanks for the advice, just drilled the top bush no problem. Now i want it to stop raining so i can go for a test ride. Should work well with the R1 forks.

Sunshine at last, test rode it and am well pleased with the shock mod, just set the sag at 20mm, 10 clicks out on the rebound, 3 turns out on the high speed compression, 20 clicks out on the low speed. Ride height set to standard with shorter dog bones, it's useful working at an engineering company! Result after 2 years of fiddling with the handling, it's finally how i want it. A new pair of 021s are the icing on the cake. The shock mod is a great budget answer to rear end problems, many thanks to devilsyam for doing the research. Only problem now is i have ground the blobs off the footrests

Hooray. I am in.

Yuku did not let me know of redirection so I used Luke's redirection service lol.

Thanks for this Luke. But thanks even more for the shock. I know I have said this in email but I wanted to say in public that the R6 shock has completely ironed out the sagging under power which was getting on me tets.

I would add to Luke's fitting instructions that removal of the top shock bolt is made muuuuuuch easier by the use of a 14mm socket on a long extension and a universal joint knuckle. Do not use a socket without the U.J as it will slip.

Easy. Thanks again, Luke.
