Well did you see it ?

Scott did a good job, quite proffessional,, they only let Guy loose on a 1600cc car, not the full blown championship cars,

His car supposedly goes from zero to 100 mph and back to zero in 3 seconds

I watched him do the Pikes Peak on his own heavily designed bike, awesome effort effort and came first in his class despite having a broken bike.

Had the pleasure meeting Guy at the North West 200 earlier this year, really nice guy, just one of the lads.

Missed Slim's mate but saw the Pike's Peak last night. His face when he knew he had won it was priceless.

Best bit, him chatting to that bird...."You like me bike then?"......Yeah....."Got a husband?"..No......"Got a boyfriend?"....No....."Fancy a pint then after"....Yeah sure.."  :lol :lol
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.

I'm watching it now. I never knew Pikes Peak was so big and dangerous. Even bigger respect to anyone doing this?

Where can I watch this Mickey? Seen a couple of vids of people coming off the course and rolling down the hill - not a place you want to be getting it wrong!  :eek

Love this series. I'd love to have known what that bike would have done without the running issues. I'd also love to know a spec list for it! I remember this:
http://www.motorcyclenews.com/mcn/news/newsresults/general-news/2011/october/oct611-the-bike-that-guy-built-500bhp-cafe-racer/

But that's 3 years ago! Lots has changed...

As much as I like Guy, he's got the habit of saying everything twice, everything twice.

And it's starting to annoy the feck out of me, feck out of me.

Arrrrrggggghhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean, I just think he's so overexcited and passionate about what he's doing.
Doesn't make it less annoying though. Another thing, when ever I see Guy race and he puts his helmet on I scream get that bloody fringe cut. It amazes me how he can ride so fast with a great big tuft of hair in his eyes.

Really enjoyed that. Guys passion for everything mechanical is brilliant. The Guy Martin shorts on 4OD are well worth watching too  :)

Excellent! Thanks again Mickvp for the link.

I haven't watched much of Guy's stuff, and don't currently follow racing, and I hear of him getting a lot of stick. From the limited amount I've seen of him, I don't know why (apart from the obvious, apart from the obvious, eh?). Enthusiastic, talented, and making programs that are far more interesting than the vast majority of what we're fed these days. Will watch more.

So, Fazer 1000 + supercharger anyone?  :evil

Had a bad experience with TTS some years ago. I don't think I'd let it put me off them now, but just a small black mark against them in my book.

Hmmm, must look more into this supercharger business  :evil
