Good evening from Herts
« on: 21 October 2014, 05:29:38 pm »
Hello,

Fazer newbie here. Just about to pick up a Cat C Fazer 1000. Don't ask me what gen, cos I have no idea at the moment, it was a spur of the moment thing, "ooh, that looks like tinkering fun" I thought. Should be getting it dropped off next week.

Looks like there is loads of advice etc on here, so be nice when I start asking daft questions  :D

From the look of the bike I'm getting, I'll be hitting the classifieds a lot as well.

Anyway, greetings & thanks for letting me join up.

Cheers

Chris

Where in Hertfordshire are you, Chris? Although I'm Fazerless at the mo, I'm in Hatfield, and used to go down to London for the LoFo meets. Nice bunch down there!  :)

At the moment, just outside Bushey, but will be moving to Leighton Buzzard in a few weeks. Which is providing annoying as it means I have to try and move 3 bikes in 1 day.

Thanks for the offer, its quite a nice ride up to there from here. I'm hoping the removal company will take a couple, we shall see what they say.

Hi Chris, I'm in St Albans and ride a gen 1, which is anything up to and including the 2005 model. What year is yours? I recently had mine serviced and asked the mechanic to service the exup valve, only to discover that a previous owner had cut the cables! Worth checking on yours.
