(Resolved) Seeking blank keys from reliable source.
« on: 03 October 2014, 06:53:54 pm »
Ahoy all.

Much as above. I have only one key and i'd like to get two more made so i'll be needing some blanks.
I've had a look 'round ebay, and there are a few possibles, but would be happier to take a recommendation from someone on here who has had some which were correct and not crappy import junk.

Do you know the 4 digit code for your key? Like A235 or similar. It's often noted in the owner's manual or if your remaining key is the master may be shown on the key itself.

If so you can order them pre cut from a site I can recommend for only a few quid, although I'll need to check back on my old posts to find the address.

Or if you don't know the code they can still do you the yammaha blank.

Here you go, I have twice ordered pre-cut keys from following with good results:

http://www.keytrader.co.uk/

Here is the correct blank:

http://www.keytrader.co.uk/Vehicle-Keys/Motorbike-Keys/YAMAHA/YH35RBP-Key-Blank.html

Enter your code if you know it for pre-cut, otherwise I assume you can order blank and get them copied from your existing key locally.

Thanks :)

I shall be going to a local place in Leicester, not sure what the place is called, but i know it's reliable as it was recommended to me via ex-work place (bike garage) who use it.

Hoping to be able to get it done while i wait, and even better; If i can watch.

Is there anywhere else where the key code is marked? I don't have a handbook, or the master key. I know on some bikes the code is marked on the helmet or seat lock itself.

Sounds like they owe you new blanks and re-cut.
