What I could really use is a bleedin hair cut.

If you've been wearing a pony tail for the last 20 years, nobody notices...  :D

Research Determines Protests Did Not Cause Spike In Coronavirus Cases

What complete and utter crap.

Look at the London protests for example, hardly anyone was from London, they just come here so that they don't shit on their own doorstep. So there is no way you can tell who or where the spread has come from.

I’m not surprised.

I’m no scientist, but I think there is a world of difference between inside and outside.

Put it this way, if I was sitting in one of the big open plan offices at work, and I sparked up a cigarette, it would only take a few minutes before the whole office would be up in arms.  Dozens of folks within minutes would be able smell ma smoke.

But outside, spaced out as if we were in the office – would anybody notice?

I’m not sure why stuff like the football is not back on.  I mean, if they did every second seat, and people stuck to their seat – along with a procedure for getting in and out of the ground – my guess is all would be fine.  Though maybe that raises other issues – transport to and from the ground – public drinking – and maybe it’s the side issues that is stopping the football and not being at the ground.  Not that I give a feck about fitbaw - but it does tend to keep certain types occupied.

But yeah Professor VNA reckons that Florida and Texas spiked because they opened the bars, restaurants and cafes and didn’t bother too much with social distancing.  It may also be why they have a big spike, but as yet no following spike in deaths, as it was more younger folks in the bars.

So on the one hand we have:

a team of economists who have published their findings in a 60-page paper released by the National Bureau of Economic Research

And on the other we have darrsi from the school of "well, it stands to reason, doesn't it" or "it's just common sense" or...

Well, after Italy, Spain, UK, and the USA, Serbia, as I had expected, was like: "hold my beer!"  :)

Shitstorm is coming onto us, and it is our fault.
Had almost two months with no measures, no one wearing masks, football matches, elections, lots of partying, gatherings... as if Corona had never existed.
Now numbers are piling up.

The main problem with football matches, apart from the very close proximity of people sitting right next to each other, is the huge factor that everyone will be shouting and screaming non stop. And as it is a respiratory based virus this is the exact thing that needs to be avoided due to unwittingly spreading their saliva droplets everywhere.
A football match would probably be the worst place ever for this, and wouldn't make much difference that they were technically outside.

Leicester on the other hand prove what happens when the local Labour authorities fail to prevent illegal gatherings. And turn a blind eye to Asian sweat factories which in Leicester are a well know worst kept secret. It smacks of the grooming gangs where the authorities did not want to upset the communities involved.
I am told that the "indigenous population" of Leicester are furious of being forced to lock down when it should only be the Asian areas which are the cause of it.
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.
