Thanks Eddie & Val for organising today's ride, a top day out with good company, some great roads and even some decent sunshine (shame about the rain near Leicester Forest East services on the way home, but at least it soon passed over & the sun came out again, so my kit is nice and dry  :D ). Just shy of 330 miles in all  :)

A great ride out. Know Finchinfield well, but my first time at the Silverball and High Beech ........ where I tried the deluxe toilets. Good to meet so many new faces, and one old face. Didn't know Tim, but I get the feeling he would have been pleased at today's big turn out, riding his roads.

Great ride out. Didn't fall off on the Royston-Saffron Walden road this time, always a bonus! Weather was grand, roads nice and twisty, cafes decent and company good. Thanks again for organizing it!

Would've liked to have made it, but things got in the way alas - does Bradley still serve piss-poor tea at the High Beach tea hut?  :lol

Glad you all had a good one, good photos  :thumbup

The trick is to go all poncy and opt for Earl Grey, then you get a fresh tea bag, rather than some syrup from the day long urn that had a hand full of bags thrown in when the hut opened first thing. ;-)

I asked for cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off...... but all they had was half a brick cut down the middle and filled with pork scratchings

Thanks to Eddie & Val for organising a great day out of riding for us, a route that Timmy did with us many times over the years and I'm sure he ordered it to stay dry with even some sunshine thrown in. :sun.
Finally getting to speak with a few of you gents that I've been meaning to for years was good and overall a very enjoyable day.  :lol

Here are some Pic's from the day.

When the going get's tough the tough get going.
