are gel seats really that much better than standard for long haul trips,,ive a 2004 fazer thou

For me yes I can cover four times the distance with the gel seat. Best thing is to see if you can borrow one to try out before spending your cash :)

If you don't want to splash out straight away, try shitting in a carrier bag and using that instead for a few days.

Ive got a yamaha gel seat that my bro in law gave me and its harder than the standard seat cant get on with it at all.

Had my seat recovered/reshaped by Diggerseats in Wales, looks smart, more comfortable than standard and from what l gather from my research a foam padded seat is a better option than a gel seat which conduct heat too easily and weigh way more than a foam seat  :(
Still got the Hornet ;-)

Does a cracking job does Dave Digger, made a lovely job of the one for my Tiger. Actually working out dimensions recently, style etc for the Fazer.


He made the seat for the trike Billy Connelly used on his tours round the British Isles
