Yamaha YZF 1000 Thunderace - ***REDUCED***
« on: 02 April 2014, 04:39:42 pm »
Yamaha YZF 1000 Thunderace
1996 P reg
21,900 miles
New MoT
Just fully serviced
V5 present
HPI clear
2 keys
Remus full exhaust system with carbon fibre can
Braided hoses
K & N air filter
£1750

I have done loads of work on this bike over the last few months including engine flush, Rad flush, full fluid change (brake, clutch, oil, radiator) full service, all bearings checked, carburettors balanced, suspension reset, WD40 clean and treatment, new stainless steel fasteners and everything torqued up to Yamaha spec.

I have a full and comprehensive list of all the work done on the bike and pictures and parts boxes/containers to back up my claims. There are a couple of pictures of the bike being worked on too. http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,11047.0.html

There are a few tasteful additions to the bike without it being bastardised, including braided hoses front and back, tail tidy, new petal discs up front, gold x ring chain, K & N air filter and a full Remus exhaust system with carbon fibre silencer (sounds fantastic).

There are a few age related marks here and there and there is a ding on the tank where (I presume) someone has lifted the wrong side of the tank and bumped it off the fairing stay. It is still in very good condition though. The bike is good to go and wants for nothing. It looks good and rides great.

I have reduced the price to as low as I can go. I am making nothing on it, but I would like to move on to my next project before summer. If you want to see her, get in touch. Travelling Foccers will be fed and watered before a long ride home, no charge.

I am convinced your right... If you would like an explanation from a sound engineer as to why, then feel free to ask.

Weekend bump for a great bike.

Chris

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

That's great, although not very surprising. It is an astonishing "do all" bike.

I had a guy round last night to see it, but he was a tyre kicker  :rolleyes . He let it slip he had a deposit on another one in a dealer already and, quote, "just wanted to get a feel for one".

Aye, right mate. Shut the door on your way out...

Have to say I'm in agreement with you there chap.
As good as a bike they are, it'll struggle to sell for £1900 odd, it's a 17 year old sports bike now after all!

Last crack before it goes on eBay (or similar). I'll take £1750 for it.
