Was planning on buying & fitting an Ivans jet kit but not got round to it yet. Instead I have spent a bit of money on the Fireblade (1993 model). Having replaced all the Rothmans bodywork with Castrol stuff it is now nearly all white. I was considering a single seat unit but that would have meant spraying it to match my new/2nd hand stuff (more time/money) & I would have lost the very useful storage space under the flip up rear seat. I found a very helpful chap on ebay (customcoversuk) who made me an all white cover for my existing rear seat which, when fitted will not only give the appearance of a single white seat unit (if you squint a bit) but also retain the seat & useful storage compartment underneath it.  8) Something simple & fairly cheap (£35 posted rings a bell) but it solves a problem that has been bugging me since I got the bike some 3 years ago.  :)

I also bought myself a new helmet, leathers & boots from the bike show last month which I am calling my Christmas present to myself because I've been a good boy all year & I deserve it.  :D

WOW what's with the huge gap beneath my last reply????

Forgot to mention Santa also bought me a whole new screwdriver set with metal running through the handles so you can give 'em a whack with a hammer & a waterproof sat nav case/mount for the Fazer.  :)

Well I for one am very disappointed with my motorcycle related Xmas present!
Very disappointed indeed!
I marked an Oxford Aeropack Excel on Ebay for my beloved wife to buy for me at the cost of 27 pounds Sterling including postage and package.
Can you imagine my disappointment on Christmas morning when I opened my present to discover that it was actually an Oxford XS35 which retails for about £85 and has a drinks bladder and various other frippery which we had not paid for!!?????!?!
I shall be sending the vendor a very stern note and demanding the item that was originally paid for!

See, next christmas i think i will need to earmark some presents list, i just feel very guilty when someone says what do you want and i come out with "new chain and sporcket set pls?"

Although i have the simplest of presents i have found that i have had a terrible time changing the bolts on my screen.... the last one to take out and it decided to round off.... i had to pull it off the bike then spent 90mins with 2 spanners and a pair of pliers unscreming a thread bare screw....  :'(
Never simple.....
Ive also scratched my beloved black screen in the process..... not a happy bunny  :\

on the plus side.... Black bolts look so much better on the black screen *nomnomnom*  :b

Toni13 you can polish scratches out of your screen in much the same way as paint on a car/bike. Wet or dry paper (wet) using 800-1000 grade to start with working your way up to 1500-2000 then 3-M cutting paste & your usual polish to finish off. I have done screens, clocks, plastic lights etc with stunning results in the past.  :)

I didn't get anything for the bike, but I did get a new visor for my lid.

I was annoyed with myself riding back from my mother's in Bristol because I thought I'd scratched the damn thing, but it turned out that it was just crud that had somehow smeared and dried on which took some cleaning off (phew!)

Mother-in-law asked what I'd like for xmas. I presented her with a nice list, all bike related and something to suit every budget.
Come xmas morning I got to mother-in-laws gift (last in my pile - I'd already opened the other one!) and unwrapped, to complete amazement, ........... a new shirt!?
Bugger! :\
If it ain't broke.......just tinker with it a little anyway!

New rear shock.
