nail or screw in tyre .
« on: 09 March 2014, 07:12:02 pm »
Whilst riding today the front tyre hit something , when I got to Minehead , I spun the front wheel to check and could see a nail flush with the tyre just off centre . I Checked the pressure before I left and it hadn't lost any pressure , whilst riding home it occasionally felt like the tyre was hitting something . When I got home I checked the tyre again , but no sign of the nail , or any sign of a hole , is it possible for a nail to be pushed into the tyre and that's what I felt whilst riding home .

May have gone further in or possibly come out, Either way I would get the tyre off and have it checked as not knowing the condition of it would play on my mind under braking/cornering. Morpheus motorcycles in kingswood are good for tyre work they sell tyres but if you take your own they fit them for around £10 a wheel.

:agree Morpheus motorcycles in Kingswood are brilliant as they repaired my puncture while I waited last year.

Another +1 for Morpheus - I use them for anything I have done on my bikes (when I'm in Bristol...)

Thanks for advice guys , I have heard good things about Morpheus , I have ordered the Front axle drive tool from Wemoto  in oder to remove the front wheel . It was playing on my mind all the way home , so I will definitely get it checked out , otherwise it will spoil my ride .
