Hi All - New Fazer 1000 Owner
« on: 23 February 2014, 11:09:28 pm »
Hi, just bought myself a 2001 fzs1000. 40k on clock but fair whack just been spent on it. Still waiting for delivery, took a punt and bought it unseen. Hope everything is ok when it arrives though the feedback for the dealer is excellent and he has promised to take it back if it's not as described (I know I'm very trusting!!!).

Assuming all ok with the bike I'll be looking to get r6 shock mod and Ivan's jet kit. Regarding the later is there an easy way to check if one has already been installed, and, I don't fancy doing it myself so can anyone recommend somewhere to get it fitted (essex area)?

Thanks all

Andy

Hi Andy, Nog, thanks for the welcome.  Yes pictures will be posted as soon as possible though delivery is not guaranteed until 3rd (though hopefully will be sooner).  In the meantime here is the link to the original listing, hopefully it still works as it has now ended.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-FAZER-1000-/111277386958?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=mdsGZqpp%252FhY31%252FZQF1kDzbe9juY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

And yes the exup valve has only recently been done.

Yeah - faster than the blue guys. And no one can talk to the guys on black bikes because they've gone by so fast!

Same goes for silver bikes though - you can't have a conversation with an object fading away in the rear view mirror!!  :lol :lol

Haha good forum this thanks guys. It arrived today looks and sounds good.

Exupnut - new (well 2nd hand) can already on the way. Defo needs the shock upgrade, just sat on it and sank!!!

I'll be getting those mods done sharpish' thanks for all your help.

Need a tail tidy also. Was amazed to see a bike of this age without one. Any suggestions?
