Nice picture and mean bike- shame about the electrics. Was it alternator, rectifier regulator problems?

New sprockets and chain, oil and coollant change, on the Speed Triple  all set for this weekends Dragon Rally. Weather forecast is mainly wet. Deep joy.

Well,my annual trip to the Dragon Rally didn't quite work out as it normally does. My pal (1050 Tiger) and I left south London at 7am, the check-in destination being next to Conwy Castle, a familiar trip west on the A5. However I was quite surprised at the number of bikes heading east towards England, when we were about 50 miles from Conwy. At the Conwy MCC check-in, the rally venue was revealed to be Beddgelert, in the heart of Snowdownia ,alongside a lake.
On arrival at the rally site, it was patently obvious that all the high ground camping spots were already taken. What was left was, as good as damn it, under water. After collecting our rally badge/goody bag and with 340 miles showing on the trip meter, we decided to ride home.
Light was fading and the rain fairly incessant, so we opted for the motorway, as there would be no pleasure gained from retracing our route across country. After a mind numbing slog down the M54/42/40/25, I rolled onto my drive with 614 miles on the trip, and strangely pleased that I could still put in a fair shift on a bike despite my advancing years. :lol
My new Gerbing heated gloves had a severe work out and came through with flying colours, so all in all an "eventful" day.

After the trials and tribulations of last weekend a dry breakfast run for the ST was the order of this morning. The service at The Chalet at Cowfold is excellent in the middle of winter, unlike from Easter onwards. After chowing down the healthy option, it was a quick B road whizz over to Bury Hill for coffee and a natter before an A29 blast home.

Fitted new battery and pattern indicator to my KL250 in preparation for M.O.T.

Indicator unexpectedly dim. Strangely supplied with a 12v bulb, so a quick swap over with the old 6v one.

My healthy option at The Chalet was scrambled egg, bacon and beans on wholemeal, washed down with cawfee. It was difficult giving the 3  egg omelette and chips a swerve, let alone the gut buster trucker special. :lol

Bought this MT09,  2016, 5500 miles and just had dealer sevice,  Akrapovic exhaust and Hyperpro springs front and back. Really light and nimble, should have done this a year ago.

New engine oil and filters on the Landy Disco 2. Didnt go well. One threaded hole was stripped on the rotary filter, but managed to nut it behind. Got an eggcup full outa the gearbox, then struggled to top it back up, finished up using a vetinary syringe to squirt in the filler hole. Very messy. Shit dropping into my face, covered in old oil, and a bad back from lying on a cold concrete drive.

Hey ho, just the axles and the transfer box to go. Soon. When its a bit warmer. Perhaps autumn

Took a run up to Pateley Bridge and then onto Masham,
When I got back replaced the original crap headlight bulb with a Philips Extreme, looks a lot better.

Those floor tiles look the same as the ones in my garage, got them from Costco. Made a huge difference when working in there, no cold concrete floor, makes it feel warmer. Only trouble is, when the sun shines through the windows, the air in the rubber expands and they curve up. Good value for money though, did the whole garage for £80
