100 mile round trip on the XJ600 to Colwyn Bay.An hour on the prom, coffee and cake.Dry, snow in the fields at Bwlchgwyn, A balmy 6 degrees. Saw many bikers today, presume heading for the Dragon Rally campsite, as they were loaded up with what looked like tents and sleeping bags.

Took off the KLEEN air pipework and crap on my ZX-9R and ZX-10R, and fitted crash bungs to both. Pipework took about 30 minutes on the 9 - well over 2 hours on the 10. Bloody modern bikes will 6 million interlocking fairing pieces!

Finished installing burglar alarm in my Villa. 200 metres of cable... 22 window sensors, 4 external door sensors, 8 internal door sensors (didn't feel the need to do the third floor  :rolleyes ), 4 PIR's, Phone dialer and a bell box, Tested. Few! Never want to do that again.

Opened bottle of beer.

Took daughter to Preston trax on the R1 for a moto-x photo shoot (40 miles) then a 95 mile slippery blast out with the bro-in-law through the trough of bowland on the R1, finishing off with an urgent blood bike run to Blackpool Victoria hospital on the Thundercat (20 miles).
An awesome days biking, but a chilly one!
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

The RX-8 went out for its MOT. I was a little sceptical as to whether it would pass especially as I had to erase the ECU warning about the CAT emissions in the morning (I know, I know) but thankfully it passed with only some minor quibbles.

Time to figure out if I shall keep the car and spend money putting it right (it needs new suspension and CAT as a minimum) or just have a bit of fun and move it on. The aren't expensive to buy, but they are damn expensive to run. Never thought I'd be looking forward to getting back in the ZS for it's fuel economy :|

Shortened my r1 high level can as it was enormous before. I also took the pillion peg hangers off to tidy her up a bit.

Also balanced the carbs on the Thundercat (again) trying to get rid of the bottom end fluffiness.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

4 PIR's,

If 4 Parachute Infantry Regiments can't stop burglars, nothing will. The lengths you have to go to, eh?  :lol

It's a big 6 bed house Nick.

Next up is razer wire around my perimeter, acid filled moat with draw bridge and gate house, and machine gun turrets with those auto fire guns like in the alien film. Hopefully that will stop the Deer, evil Muntjac and Pheasants from fighting their way through my hedgerow, hoofing up my nice lawn and eating my vegetation.

Orf my land!

I am very envious of that lift,
but I must ask how rigid is that shed floor, all the ones I have come across have been quite flimsy.

Might be wise to put some 3/4" plywood  pads (even if it's just shuttering ply) under the feet to spread the load across at least a couple of rafters, I would be tempted to put a whole sheet under it.

If its as flexi under foot as the ones I have experienced the thought of the combined weight of the lift and a FZS1000 plus any forces by yanking on spanners, leaning on bench etc all going down through the feet just scares me, the risk of it punching through the floor and tipping over   :eek

Judge it for yourself, and again - Nice  :b

Thanks for the advice, yes I think your right  now I think about it, the floor is quite  thick, but there's a lot of weight there especially  with the thou, I'm going to put a sheet of ply under the hole lift. :)

I must admit that it does look a lot better than the corroded Motad, Noggy.
It wouldn't be rude at all to say that it is an ugly beast, Midden. When I bought it in 1989 it was the belle of the ball, but we all age. I have to say that she has been a good servant over the years and I do have a sentimental attachment, which is probably why I keep spending more money than she is worth on her. The exhaust, (£260.00), is worth as much as the bike.
