Tank Museum Ride?
« on: 06 March 2014, 09:00:32 pm »
I'll probably pay another visit to the Tank Museum at Bovington sometime this year, as I didn't take my camera last time and would like to get a few snaps. No date set as yet, but I'd like to do it when the weather is a bit warmer so I don't have to carry too much kit around the museum with me. Anybody interested in making a run of it - bit different to just a route ride?

Last time I did it, I went from Waltham Cross, did the rounds of the museum, and had a ride down to Durdle Door, stopped for grub somewhere near there too. Was home for about 8pm.  :D

Oh yeah, and had a stroll round Corfe Castle  :D :D

Wonder if your son came along he'd experience the 'wagon wheel' effect.....they're definitely not as big as they used to be ;)

Always impressed with your rideouts so maybe i'll make it. Only coming from near sunny Portsmouth so won't take too long. Last time i went to Bovington was to do a wheelie school event for a mates stag do. Great laugh had by all, still crap at wheelies though.

A possible for this depending on the date, etc. Sevenoaks is not far from me and distance is no problem  :) .

If the date is right I'd be up for it. I need a long ride out. :-) tag along with fireblake from gosport... perhaps the other 2 foccers from gosport could make it!

Tomorrow anyone? Weather not quite so sunny as today, so I won't mind an indoor destination, need something to get me out though.

Ok, I'm doing this on Sunday. Weather looks ok so far. I might be meeting up with a couple of guys from another forum too, who I haven't met before, then after a look around the museum, a ride to the coast. Anyone welcome to join, maybe meet at the museum, probably late AM.

Edit: Plan in state of flux  :rolleyes
Waiting for 2 guys to make up their minds, might be going west instead  :lol

we did have a fazer meet up many yrs ago at Bovingdon. I have been wanting to go again at some point too. Its  a very long day for me, so would only go if weather good ( at least dry)...and after mid July. I will post up at the time to see if anyone fancies tagging along or meeting up there.
